Finally!

Guys, I have some pretty exciting news for you. Wanna hear it? Of course you do! And even if you don't I can still pretend, can't I? Well anyways, I finally got over my writers block! AND (yes, there's an "and") I have 3 great ideas for stories! One sci-fi, one fantasy, and one realistic fiction, and all fantastic! I can't wait to share them with you!!! Unfortunately, I can't do so right this minute, because it is almost 11 o'clock at night! AHH! But I'll tell you all more later!

A Little Old Writer.

Well ... Maybe August

will be better. I'm saying this because, unfortunately, I came no where near close to finishing my novel this month. Well, it's not the end of the world, and there's always August, November, next June, next August, next November, and so on, to compete in NaNoWriMo. But of course, I can write whenever I want to! So, never fear, I will always be here! So keep checking in! And who knows ... maybe one day I'll have a novel to add to my list of things that I've accomplished in life.

The Unlucky 13 ...

may actually be lucky! Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm a little (okay, A LOT) insane, blah, blah, blah, but here's my logic.

I told you guys about Camp NaNoWriMo, right? Don't say 'no', because I clearly remember telling you! Anyway, today is day number 13 in my 30 day journey to write a novel. If you know me, then you are probably thinking, 'Abby? Follow a plan? Finish a book? Who are you and what have you done with Abby!' Well, let me tell you, when I decided to start this thing, those were the exact thoughts going through my subconscious.

Of course, I rebelled against greater logic and told myself and others that I would show them how wrong they were and finish. Well ... let's just say, if you have a slight (or major) procrastination problem, then you MIGHT want to get that fixed before starting something like NaNoWriMo ...

Yeah, it's day 13 and I am supposed to have a fifth of my book written ... I have almost a fifth of the fifth that I'm supposed to have done. So, I basically have almost 5,000 words when I'm supposed to have 20,000. How much do I suck at following plans? A LOT!

Well, enough with the ickiness! Today is day 13 and, for once, I am actually feeling inspired to write! I'm going to contact my best friend/editor, and see if she can help me out a bit. Hopefully, she'll say yes, and I'll get closer to catching up! Thank you number 13!!!

Well, I'd better get going before the jinx I probably just placed on myself comes into play. Wish me luck!

Camp NaNoWriMo

Hey again! It's almost summer, and you know what that means! Pool everyday, beach a couple times a week, and scrambling to write a novel in one month!

In 15 hours and 43 minutes, I will begin the journey of a lifetime, and try to write a novel, from beginning to end, in a month! Camp NaNoWriMo is an branch of the original and still functional organization, NaNoWriMo, where you write a novel in the month of November, the national writing month. With Camp NaNoWriMo, you have two chances to participate. The first is in June, which I am doing, and another is in August, which I might or might not do, depending on how June goes.

I'm really excited, but really nervous! I have an idea all planned out, but not all the way. We'll see how it goes though! I'm probably going to spend these last 15 hours and 43 minutes trying to find inspiration, and plan out as much as I can! Wish me luck! Next time I write to you guys, it will probably be from Camp! Or on second thought, maybe after Camp is over.

If you don't hear from me by August, it probably means one of two things. 1, I am fine but still crazy exhausted from NaNoWriMo. Or 2, I died in the process of trying to figure out how to describe the death of a character. Let's hope the second doesn't happen! If it does, feel free to deem me an insane writer.

Simply Fabulous? Well I'm Not!

Hello everyone, how are you all today?

Oh, we are simply fabulous, Abby!

Well I'm not!

Yeah, yeah, complain all you want, Abby's so cranky! Blah, blah, blah. This is what happens when I have complete writer's block, and none, at the same time!

You see, I have ideas, like angels, super-humans, mermaids, crazy villains, etc., but I have no idea how to use them! Plot block, I guess you could call it. This 'plot block' is definitely a problem when it comes to deciding things, like if my character should be a super-human or an angel, or, whether or not my characters should be switched at birth or not. How frustrating!

Well, I just had to get this off of my chest. Man, how I hate my brain sometimes! Do you?

There Once Was A Little Old Writer ...

Hello! My name is Abby I live in Florida, and I am a writer. I haven't published any books or anything (or even finished one!), but I write in my spare time ... when I feel like it, and nowadays, that isn't as often as I would like. All you writers out there, you probably know what I mean, unless you happen to be an alien from Mars who has infinite inspiration. If you are, I kill to know your secret! But for now, I am a little old writer, who has only three chapters of a book written ... what a sad, and pathetic little old writer.
